The Secret to the Celtic 2014/15 success Defense

With opening night of the 2014/15 NBA season is just three days away. The Celtics roster has plenty of new faces. But the record will be as good as the overall health of the team and of course defense. Miami is just as tough Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh are healthy and Luol Deng brings muscle up front. Johnny Granger is still a savvy veteran who is still one of the leagues best. Toronto minus Rudy Gay is still a favorite to challenge for first place in the East. Guard Kyle Lowery is one of the premier shooters in the league. The Knicks were quiet this past summer. Eric Anthony and his 120 million dollar salary stayed in New York. The Knicks also added former Laker DereknFisher to the back court. The Hawks have a new coach in Mike Budenholzer. Al Horford when healthy is on of the leagues best centers. Forward Jeff Teague also adds muscle and scoring. Charlotte is also a strong contender. Lance Stephenson is on of the leagues best guards.Forward Al Jefferson is one of the toughest night in and night out.The Wizards have one of the best player in the league in forward John Wall. Guard Bradley Beal has been compared to Golden States Klay Thompson.DC is the new home of former Celtic great Paul Pierce. The Nets and their 90.57 luxuray tax were quiet overall this past summer.Joe Johnson and Jarrett Jack bring stability and experience to the back court. Center  Brook Lopez must stay healthy in order for the Nets to be competitive.Veteran Kevin Garnett is 38 and ready to retire.Philly needs a healthy Joel Embid to complement Michel Carter Williams and Nerlens Noel.Overall the East had 556 wins compared to the west 674.No matter what it comes down to health and defense will determine the success of the Celtics
