Patriot head coach Bill Belichick has been under fire as of late for the first time in his fifteen year tenure as Patriot head coach. He does however have a knack for being a shrewd judge of talent when it comes to finding true Patriots. His drafting speaks for itself and his roster manipulation ranks as one of the best in NFL history. The Patriots however do come under scrutiny when it comes to retaining certain fan favorites.Richard Seymour, Wes Welker, and most recent Logan Mankins. Mankins was the anchor of a so called weak offensive line. Lineman Marcus Cannon,Ryan Wendell,Cameron Fleming, are just fill ins. Right up until last week the offense had as many as 5-6 rotations when all you need depending on injury is two rotations. The player who could be a diamond in the rough is Tim Wright. Wright the player coming over from Tampa before the start of the season became a favorite target of Tom Brady in last Sundays 43-17 romp over the Bengals.Wright however was a victim of just 21 snaps since he became a Patriot.Wright had 5 catches for 85 yards and one td last week. If he can become part of the pass catching mix of Rob Gronkowski, Julian Edleman, Brandon Lafell. If every one stays healthy Brady will have two more targets than last year. Danny Amendola for the most part as been a no show just catching one pass last week. Wright his second pro season out of Rutgers was very productive for the Bucs in his rookie season.Wrighplayed in all 16 games catching 54 passes for a total of 571 yards and five touchdowns. He started in eight gamesjust eight games last season. Wright will have to be a big factor as the Pats play a very tough physical Bills team. The offensive line has their work cut out for them. Wright must run good routes and take the pressure off Brady and the other receivers.
